My Speech

 Kia Ora bloggers yesterday we told our speech to the whole class I wrote about Myths around the world I think I did pretty well, but it was not perfect I talked and projected my voice well I made a bit of eye contact and I mesmerised a bit of it.

Even though I knew a bit of it if I had practised a bit more then I would would have mesmerised most of it and that would mean I would make a lot more eye contact.

I really enjoyed Cooper Cowle's speech witch was about old Olympic sports my favourite sport that he talked about was extreme ironing his whole speech was really interesting because he spoke well and he memorised it witch mean he looked at his cards less and he talked more fluently.

  Even though I didn't get into the speech finals I still enjoyed writing and saying my speech.

Learning French

Kia Ora Bloggers.Today for inquiry we have started to learn some French it was a lot of fun our task was to either make an animation with French in it or do a video I chose to do the video we messed up a few times in the video but other than that it was  a lot of fun and I hope you like it.Do you know how to speak french?

Private Peaceful drawing🖌️

Today in literacy we had to make a drawing about a a character from Private Peaceful  and then we had to put a few quotes around to show the characters personality. Down below is my drawing of Charlie Charlie is one of the main characters. Charlie is a kind person who is really brave and is also quite defiant and will do almost everything to help his brother's Tommo and Big Joe.He will stick up for them if any one is mean to them even if it will get him in trouble He and Tommo also joined. In the army when Tommo was forced to run laps around the track with his gun over his head multiple times when Tommo had done nothing bad Charlie stuck up for him and yelled at there commanding officer.

 Hello bloggers. For inquiry we have made a piece of art about water pollution this piece of art was quite cool because  if you looked at it from one way it would look clean but if you look at it the other way it looks polluted this was such an cool piece of art and I loved making it. Kia Ora bloggers Flynn here. today for S,T,E,A,M(Science Technology Engineering Art Math) we had to make a table that can hold the wait of a 1 journal and it had to be 15CM above the ground out of 10 pieces of paper and 1M of tape in a group of 5. We managed to hold 3 book and our table was 17.2CM tall.This was a really fun task and I really enjoyed it. Have you ever done a task like this?

The death of a Peaceful 🪦

 

Kia Ora bloggers Flynn here. Today for literacy we had to do an animation of a part of private peaceful that part was Thomas's Dad dying. We had to make the animation from the Dads point of view after that we had to read from a script we made yesterday and do a voice over for the story.  Kia Ora bloggers today for science we had to do some research about one of the five senses this sense that we learnt about was Feel for research we had  a buddy who had to use Calipers to poke us and we had to say how many pokes we felt it was a really fun experiment down below is my answers this was a really fun experiment and I loved doing it. Matariki art ⭐

 

Kia Ora bloggers for the past few weeks we have been making Matariki art it was a lot of fun and it was really easy to do the image was revered when I put it on foam so that when I put my design on paper it would be around the right way on my foam I put a mountain range and the 7 sisters. Have you ever done Matariki art?

Here are the instructions on how to do Matariki art

1.Draw your design.

2.Draw it again onto a piece of A4 foam make sure to put some pressure on it but not to much.

3.Get a roller and some ink put the roller in the ink and roll the roller of your design you can use one or two colours. 

4.Put a piece of paper of your wet design and apply some pressure.

5.Leave your paper design to dry.

6.Make a frame for your paper design.

7.Glue your frame to your paper design. 

8.Put signature at bottom of frame 

9.You are now done.

I will now give you instructions for if you want to do it again 

1.Wash your foam design. 

2. Repeat steps 3 to 8.

3. and you have finished.

Matariki is a great time of the year and it was a lot of fun making this art and you should make it to.

On wednesday while the other tech group was at tech we had to do some STEAM. (Science Technology Engendering Art Math) 

It was a lot of fun and I enjoyed doing it our team did well but when we did the test our egg got smashed and leaked everywhere.

Burger paragraph🍔

In literacy we have been learning how to make the perfect paragraphs and recently we have been learning about burger paragraphs I will now tell you how to make a burger paragraph.

First the top bun is you topic sentence a topic sentence is where you write the main ideas of what the paragraph will be about. 

The filling of your burger is where you explain your paragraph or expand on what your paragraph is about.

 The bottom bun is the closure to your paragraph.

Crater test.

 Kia Ora bloggers. Today we have been doing science the thing that we based it of is craters on the moon .

The experiment was we drop different metal balls all of them were different sizes and we dropped them from different heights.

The experiment was to see how big of a crater that they would make and then we had to write about our findings in a book. 

It was a lot of fun but also hard at the end we had to answer some questions based our opinion down below is our findings and question answers.
